JoePaPalooza II / Housewarming / Block Party

This should be a great way to kick off the Summer! Food and Drink will be provided. Just bring your friends, bring your family, bring your fun-filled selves and have a blast at the 2nd Annual JoePaPalooza! House Party!!

To start the Summer off right, I am having a Block Party on May 12th. I just moved into my new house and wanted to open it up to all of my friends and family who want to enjoy a nice Saturday evening together.

I am the only one on the block, therefore, I've cleared it with ALL my neighbors... :-)

This sort of doubles as a Housewarming Party. It also is our 2nd Annual JoePaPalooza. Last year's party was alot of fun!! We celebrated our good friend, Chris Giles' graduation from UT Law School. He's coming back for this shin-dig with his fiance, Stacy. Should be a great time!!!

Cancelled? But Why?!?!

The show, The Black Donnelly's has been taken off the air. The only way to see any new episodes is to watch them online. There has been much talk about them trying to have another network pick it up for next year, but that doesn't look good. The show was very well done, in my opinion, but the problem was, which is a problem for many start-up shows, is that it was put up against major shows on other networks such as 24 on FOX. That is why it never had a chance to get the ratings it needed to stay on the air. Here are some discussions on the NBC.com Message Boards regarding the show. If you ever saw an episode you would agree that it was worth tuning in week in and week out. It's Soprano's vs. Boondock Saints and edited for primetime TV drama. I am very disappointed that this show was taken off the air. I'm curious if others felt the same way...

Heating up!!!

24 is heating up. In my opinion, the last episode which aired last night, 4.9.07, was one of the best this season. Who knew Audrey would still be alive and that the show is going in a whole new direction?!?!

... And we still have 8 hours to go! Should be a fun ride!!!

Coming along...

They say 3 more weeks, but I'm not going to hold it to them. But hopefully some time in April I'll be able to move in. When that happens... House-Warming Party!

Zach Peters

My cousin, Zach Peters (26), died over the weekend. Please keep him and his family in your prayers. He was survived by his parents, Bob & Chris Peters, his older brother, Rob Peters (Jenn) and younger sister Emily Peters. He also had 2 niece's (Samantha, Olivia) and a nephew (Danny).

He was a good kid; loved the Red Wings and Tigers; knew everything there was to know about fixing cars; was loved by most everyone that knew him.

Maze of Wood

Cool shot from inside the garage. The opening to the basement is at the bottom of the picture with the bedrooms on the right side and straight back you can see the backyard out of the Master Bedroom window. Fun stuff...

Lumber

Well, the lumber came on Friday and after 2 and a half days this is what they have finished. Roof should be on by the end of the week!

Guys night at the movies! Check this trailer out... It comes out on March 9th, and we're going to see it on Saturday, March 10th (matinee). Guys only, no exceptions!!! It'll be the next Gladiator. Details on what time and where to follow...

I Closed! ...Finally

After months of waiting, I finally closed on the lot. I now own a piece of land. Soon I will own a hole in the ground, then a foundation and so on. Hopefully it will be erected quickly and I can get in before my birthday in April and maybe have a Final Four party to kick off the new house. We'll see.
